Root protection films
Root protection films are the material of choice in gardening and landscaping, cycle path construction, road construction, and track construction to prevent roots from growing into asphalt surfaces, track beds, pipe systems, ponds, swimming pools, paths, or canals. The roots are not damaged, but continue to grow under or next to the film. Unnecessary root cutting and tree felling are avoided, as are expensive repairs and renovation work.
We have developed a wide range of solutions for this area for our customers. As experts in geotextiles, we develop durable, lightweight, and flexible nonwovens for vertical protection against root penetration. The material, weight, and coatings are tailored to your requirements.
Greenhouse: Partition wall systems / Blackout screens
Some plants, such as chrysanthemums and poinsettias, time their flowering period according to the length of the day in each season. In greenhouses, these plants are deliberately darkened during certain growth phases using opaque films, known as blackout screens, in order to artificially shorten the length of the day and thus reduce the amount of light they receive. This allows the timing of flowering and harvesting to be precisely controlled. The darkening is achieved either partially with small blackout screens or automatically throughout the entire greenhouse using adjustable blackout systems.
CaPlast offers you tailor-made solutions for targeted darkening or complete blackout in greenhouses. We adapt the coating of the sheets exactly to your requirements in terms of flame retardancy, light impermeability, moisture permeability, and resistance to UV, temperature, and chemicals.
