The automotive industry and commercial vehicle sector are key players in the energy and mobility transition. As a long-standing partner to the automotive industry, CaPlast contributes to this transition with lightweight, durable, and health-friendly high-performance coatings and composite materials. In many cases, we develop products together with various OEMs, but we usually supply to Tier 1-3 companies. This means that almost all of our solutions are further processed by our customers.
Sustainability is at the top of our agenda
All our thermoplastic coatings are free of plasticizers and solvents. This avoids emissions (VOC) and odors in the vehicle interior and makes a positive contribution to the environment. But we are not satisfied with that. We want to contribute to a sustainable circular economy, which is why the development of materials from renewable raw materials such as biopolymers and recyclable and reusable products, for example for transport protection, is at the top of our agenda.
Saving weight while offering high strength is one of the key objectives in vehicle construction, as this saves raw materials and reduces fuel and energy consumption. Manufacturers of motorhomes, commercial vehicles, and sales vehicles in particular are looking for lightweight, thin-walled materials that are also impact-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and durable. GRP or sandwich constructions are being tested, but wooden constructions are still the norm, especially in the motorhome sector. As a long-standing partner of renowned manufacturers of fiber-reinforced panels, CaPlast contributes its development expertise right from the early stages of the value chain. Our thermoplastic fiber-reinforced composites are naturally free of resins, plasticizers, and solvents.
Your application determines the product
All our products and solutions are specially tailored to customer needs and individual applications. For more protection, safety and driving comfort, our adhesive coatings, textile coatings and composite materials can be extended with additional properties. Additives such as colors, UV stabilizers and flame retardants can be added to the extrusion coatings.
