CaPlast system components for the façade
Facade membranes for curtain-type, rear-ventilated facades
Partially open facade systems and rear-ventilated wooden slat facades are increasingly impressing builders with their unique combination of functionality and aesthetics. Since moisture, driving rain, and snow can penetrate through the joints, diffusion-open facade membranes provide the main protection for the thermal insulation against weather influences and also dissipate any moisture that accumulates.
Consequently, facade membranes must be permanently UV-resistant, windproof, and impervious to driving rain, while also being highly diffusion-open. In order to meet aesthetic requirements, the black color of the membrane must be highly lightfast so that the shadow gap created does not lose its appeal.
Fire protection for the entire facade system is becoming increasingly important. CaPlast offers a facade membrane in building material class B s1 d0 in accordance with EN 13501-1, which is specially designed for use in special buildings such as schools, hospitals, and nursing homes with high fire protection requirements.
