Barriers for screed / floors

CaFloor AE 60 is a vapour and moisture barrier and high-quality decoupling membrane. The multi-layer special strip consists of a double-sided mat-coated polymeric functional and waterproof layer. With a good bond to cement-based thin bed mortar and liquid compound sealants, CaFloor AE 60 is well suited for fast and reliable sealing. It regulates the entry of moisture into the construction. With the thick fleece fitted to one side, it is not only protected against the roughness of the substrate, it is particularly suitable as highgrade decoupling method. In addition to this product, we also have many variants in the product range, designed to meet the special requirements of decoupling.

Laying method

The surface must be clean, dry and free from grease, oil or other separating agents. It must also be solid, stable and as even as possible. In order to bond CaFloor AE 60, a thin flexible bed of mortar is applied to the surface with a 4 mm toothed trowel. The strip is laid on the surface and the entire surface is pressed down all over using a burnishing tool or a smooth roller. The sheets are butt-jointed. Penetrations, corners, and connections can be sealed using CaFix Seal. The places where the strips meet can be pasted over using CaTape Uni.
